Supporting Young Talent - Aspiring to Achieve the Best

At Bosdet, we are acutely aware that not all children have the opportunity to reach their full potential. There are many reasons for this but a lack of access to finance should not be one of them. With this in mind, we were able to grant funds of £5,800.00 to Hautlieu School for three areas of support:

1. Part-funding for a MacBook for a student with exceptional talent in art and graphic design. This piece of equipment has enabled them to produce coursework of a much higher standard and to gain higher exam results, meaning more opportunities for higher education and future employment.

2. With cuts to States funding, we have seen a decline in support for non-essential subjects in the curriculum and this has lead to talented musicians from lower-income families missing out on opportunities to develop their musical talent. With our help, Haultlieu is able to support pupils and nurture their talent.

3. Applications to top universities. Is it hard for children coming from families who have not been through the higher education system to imagine themselves studying for degrees and even less likely that they would see themselves at Oxford or Cambridge? With funding from the Foundation, these possibilities have been realised.
